Routine Approach: This technique often entails the making of major incisoins and ultimately, major scarring, often in cases that are otherwise amenable to less invasive surgeries.

The Difference: Of course, there are clearly patients with very significant clinical findings that would demand a major surgery, but we engage as often as we see apporpriate the much kinder and gentler strategy of liposculpture resection of the tissues. Since as we age, fatty tissue usually gradually replaces breast tissue, this technique becomes ever more efficacious the older the patient presents. With only a couple of fingernail-sized incisions, the entire surgery is performed in less than an hour. Of course, just as in the aforementioned surgeries, it is our passion to get the outcome just right – not to take too much or too little breast tissue, but instead remove what will deliver a proportional, comfortable, aesthetic breast.
